CIAA

The annual CIAA basketball tournament has taken over uptown Charlotte this week.  The CIAA is an athletic conference made up of several traditionally black colleges.  For one week a year students and alumni gather in Charlotte to watch basketball, party, and party again.  The CIAA is a place to see and be seen.  I am envious because I have only been back to my alma mater once in the last 16 years.  To see these large groups come back and see friends from their school days and celebrate where they came from is very cool.  My favorite part of the week is to see the cars that come to town to be shown off.  I park at a high end hotel everyday and this week each year it is overrun by the nicest ensemble of cars that you will ever see.  Bentley's, Rolles', and Fiskers.  It is really neat to see so many high end cars in once place.  There is talk of the CIAA moving to another city in future years.  I hope not. Not only does it help the city of Charlotte it allows me to see up close the cars I hope to own one day.
